Newborn
Newborn photo session in Burgas — when and how

Newborn photos capture something that vanishes within weeks — that tiny, curled phase when the baby still sleeps folded as in the womb. That's why timing matters. Here's when and how we do a calm, natural newborn session in Burgas.
My approach isn't “studio poses” at all costs, but quiet, real frames — the baby, the parents' hands, the small details. No rushing, at the child's pace.
When is the best moment
The classic newborn aesthetic — a curled, sleepy baby — works best in the first 5–14 days. After that the baby is more awake and active, which is also beautiful, just different. If you missed the first days, don't worry — we shoot older babies too, with more smiles and reactions.

Home or studio
I prefer a lifestyle approach at home — the baby is calm there, the light by the window is soft, and the frames are real. A studio gives a more controlled, clean background if that's what you want. Both work; the question is what feeling you're after.
How to prepare the baby and home
- A warm room — newborns settle better when warm
- A fed baby right before the session
- Spare clothes, nappies and cloths within reach
- Calm and time — we don't rush, we follow the baby
- A cleared space by a window for natural light

What frames we make
The details — tiny feet and hands; the baby in mum's and dad's arms; sleeping frames; and the room or nursery corner if you want context. All quiet, no forced poses.
If you're expecting or the baby has just arrived, write to me — we'll find a calm window in the first weeks. And if you're still pregnant, see the maternity session too.

Frequently asked questions
- When is best to photograph a newborn?
- For the classic curled, sleepy frames — the first 5–14 days. But any age works; with an older baby we catch smiles and reactions.

- Both. I recommend a lifestyle approach at home — a calm baby, soft light, real frames. A studio is an option for a cleaner background.
- How long is the session?
- Usually 1.5–3 hours — we follow the baby's pace, with breaks for feeding and changing.
- Is it safe for the baby?
- Yes. The baby's comfort and safety come first — no risky poses, everything at its pace.
