Old Black Sea town

Wedding photographer in Sozopol — TSARKOV STUDIO

Old Sozopol is one of the strongest locations for wedding photography in Bulgaria. Narrow stone streets in late afternoon light, the sea glimpsed through wooden rooftops, small chapels — a visual language that's hard to replicate anywhere else on our coast.

I shoot weddings in Sozopol two ways: as part of a full wedding day, or as a destination couple session after the ceremony. Either way the work is the same — wait for the light, wait for the gesture, let the event happen.

Coverage extends across the southern district with no travel surcharge — Sozopol, Dyuni, Kavatsi, Chernomorets, Ravadinovo, Primorsko.

Favorite spots in Sozopol

Old town at sunset

The streets between Apollonia and Anaximander between 18:00 and 19:30 in late spring / early summer — stone paving, wooden facades, narrow passages.

Sea fortress

The north wall and gate at golden hour — strong architectural backdrop with the sea on the right.

Small chapels

Dormition of the Theotokos, Saint George — for traditional ceremonies or couple sessions with a sacred context.

Harbor at blue hour

Old fishing boats as backdrop. Between sunset and full dark — about 25 minutes of magic.

Why Sozopol

For intimate weddings up to 80 guests — Sozopol is ideal. Less crowded than Nesebar or Sunny Beach but with the same (or better) architectural value. Venues like Santa Marina, Coral Beach and Black Sea Rama offer full on-site wedding coverage.

Drive from Burgas Airport — 35 minutes. Easy for both Bulgarian and destination guests.
